Property Blight Campaign

It is becoming clear that the Government, DfT and HS2 Ltd will only respond to continuing pressure and hard evidence in the fight against HS2.

As part of the HS2 Action Alliance, who are actively campaigning against all aspects of the project, the Speen Area Action Group has been participating in a project to gather evidence of property ‘blight’- that is, a reduction in value of your property, or an inability to attract buyers.

Originally designed to support a property blight report to accompany responses to the EHS consultation on  June 17th, it has been decided that we will continue to collect evidence of blight on an ongoing basis, so we can present a comprehensive picture of the damage that HS2 causes over time.

A simple document has been created to capture details of blight and this is available below as a Word document.
